Emergency Management Agency
Emergency situations can occur anywhere and at anytime. Snyder County's Emergency Management Agency (EMA) is prepared to respond to a wide range of calamities by assuring the continuity of Snyder County Government and by serving as a support and coordination post for emergency aid personnel. Our goal is to reduce vulnerability to damage or loss of life or property from disasters by making the best possible use of public and private resources.
911 Center
Snyder county 911 center receives 911 calls and will dispatch the appropriate emergency services based on these calls. As an enhanced 911 center, when we receive a call from your phone, we also receive your address and phone number, and a map pointing your location to speed up response to your emergency. We are also phase II capable and can track locations of cellular phones making 911 calls to our facility.
Snyder County 911 participates in coordinating county re-addressing to that every residence has a municipal style address that emergency responders can locate quickly.
